The prospect of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming even smarter is at the heart of discussions taking place at this week’s Tech World in Seattle. Yuanqing Yang, the CEO of Lenovo, is leading the talks on the potential of hybrid AI, an emerging technology that promises to elevate AI effectiveness to new levels.
This year’s Tech World, a global innovation event, marks its 10th year running in Bellevue, near Seattle, Washington. The event, scheduled from 15 to 17 October 2024, focuses on Lenovo’s advancements in AI and how the company is bringing its mission of “Smarter AI for All” into fruition.
AI will be explored in its many forms at the event, ranging from AI for Good projects, which have groundbreaking potential for social impact, to hybrid AI, intended to bolster the capabilities of both individuals and enterprises. The focus will also include generative AI, with proven methodologies for expedited deployment and execution.
Indeed, AI is a collective effort. Lenovo’s collaborations and investments with various partners have resulted in a range of AI-ready, AI-enabled, and AI-optimised solutions, services and devices. Major announcements were made earlier this year and there is much anticipation for what’s next.
Among these significant strides, Lenovo, in collaboration with Intel, was one of the earliest to introduce AI-enabled PCs, powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, at the start of the year. A partnership with AMD materialized into AI laptops fitted with 3rd Gen Ryzen AI processors, accessible to commercial and SMB users, as well as consumers.
Lenovo also teamed up with Qualcomm and Microsoft to release the first Copilot+ PCs, powered by Snapdragon X Elite. This includes the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s Gen 6. Finally, the partnership with NVIDIA led to the launch of new Hybrid AI solutions. These advanced applications of AI can transform industries by enabling enterprises and the cloud with generative AI capabilities, complemented by Lenovo’s Spatial Computing Appliance of digital twin technology.
Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang will be delivering the keynote speech at Tech World. His talk will revolve around Lenovo’s latest innovations and strategies towards achieving “Smarter AI for All.” The cutting-edge technologies that make hybrid AI a reality will be put in the spotlight. From personal use at home, at work and even ‘on the go’, hybrid AI promises to make AI accessible to everyone.
For interested parties, both physical and virtual attendance are options at Tech World. Participants will get to experience firsthand how Lenovo utilizes hybrid AI to facilitate the work of organizations, regardless of size. Moreover, the latest technological advancements in AI promise to accelerate outcomes, scale private AI initiatives and provide cost-effective and scalable access to metered GPU resources.
The speaking panel will feature a multitude of tech industry leaders. Among them is Lenovo’s newly appointed chief technology officer, Dr. Tolga Kurtoglu. Other speakers include Dr. Yong Rui, Lenovo’s President of the Emerging Technology Group, and distinguished partner speakers like Lisa Su, Pat Gelsinger, Satya Nadella, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jensen Huang, who hold honorary posts at AMD, Intel, Microsoft, Meta, and Nvidia, respectively.
The discussions and knowledge sharing at Tech World ’24 aim to enrich the AI landscape, pushing towards new frontiers in technology. The event will be live-streamed, and available on-demand after the main broadcast. This makes it accessible to anyone unable to attend in person, bringing an international audience to the heart of AI innovation.
