My Honest Review of EveryPlate’s Meal Kit

EveryPlate: An Affordable and Convenient Solution for Meal Preparation

In our fast-paced lives, sometimes planning and preparing meals can feel like a chore, especially when we’re juggling work, family, and other commitments. This is where meal kit delivery services prove their worth. They offer convenience and help simplify meal preparation, as I recently discovered while transitioning to a new home.

In the midst of packing, moving, and unpacking, my partner and I quickly grew tired of takeout and were desperate for a home-cooked meal. We just didn’t have the time for grocery shopping, nor could we access most of our kitchen tools, which were still boxed. This is when EveryPlate came to our rescue.

EveryPlate – An Affordable, Wholesome Solution

EveryPlate, a meal subscription service provided by the same creators of the well-known meal delivery service, HelloFresh, prides itself on its affordability. Meals start at just $5.99 per serving, making it an economical choice over many other comparable services. Despite the attractive pricing, there’s no compromise on the taste and quality of meals.

With a selection of ever-evolving delicious meals, you won’t run out of options, nor will the frequency of repeating dishes be a concern. Of all the meal kits I’ve tried previously, EveryPlate’s recipes require much less work and are easier to prepare.

However, EveryPlate does have its limitations. Due to its pricing structure, the service cannot cater to specific dietary preferences such as vegan, gluten-free, paleo, etc. However, nutrition information is provided for each recipe, allowing individuals to check if a meal fits into their lifestyle.

Pricing and Packaging

EveryPlate’s cost is contingent on the number of servings and amount of people you’re feeding. The smallest plan currently available for new members is three meals per week for two people and costs $35.94 for the initial box. If you need five meals for six people a week, the price jumps up to $179.70. Moreover, they regularly offer discounts and special promotions, hence the prices might vary.

All the ingredients in an EveryPlate box are individually sealed in plastic bags. They aren’t sorted by meal, so some time is required to sort out the ingredients for each dish. However, this is a minor inconvenience compared to planning an entire grocery store trip.

EveryPlate In Action

For our first meal, we chose the cumin-spiced pork rice bowls with cucumber salad. The preparation procedure was straightforward and involved cooking rice on the stovetop, stir-frying thin pork pieces with seasoning, chopping cucumber, and blending garlic sauce with mayonnaise from my fridge.

In another instance, I prepared creamy Dijon chicken and smash burgers with potato wedges concurrently. The chicken was pan-seared and then topped with a sauce made using broth and Dijon mustard, courtesy of EveryPlate. The broccoli and potato wedges were simultaneously roasting in the oven.

Who is EveryPlate Ideal for?

EveryPlate is an ideal solution for anyone looking to save time and money, making it suitable for everyone, particularly those busy with work, family, or other responsibilities. It’s a convenient option when grocery shopping and cooking feel too overwhelming and time-consuming.

Families, particularly, can benefit from EveryPlate. The service offers plans that can provide reasonably priced meals for up to six people without compromising on taste and nutrition. Plus, most dishes are ready in about 30 minutes.

In conclusion, if I was able to incorporate EveryPlate into my schedule while moving during the holidays, it convinces me that anyone can fit EveryPlate into their budget and schedule.
