Calling Australia their home after a year of nomadic life presented them with these awe-inspiring views of dolphins. The Kremser family first chanced upon these majestic creatures off the Southern coast of Western Australia, in the distinctly Australian town of Albany, after parking their van. Stefanie feels affirmed of their decision to finally settle down, enthusiastically noting that the dolphins seem to confirm their “choice of the right place” with the oceanic spectacle.
“We were flabbergasted by their playful antics, as if they were throwing a welcome party for us,” she reminisces, emotions welling. “We don’t have anything similar back home… The sight of them made everything feel so much lighter and free. With each glimpse, all worldly cares momentarily fade into oblivion.”
Accompanied by her 16-year old daughter on the beach boardwalk, Stefanie spotted the dolphins. However, only when they returned home and zoomed into the captured photos did the true scale and grace of the dolphins’ antics became apparent. In one remarkable photo, four dolphins leaped above a wave in unison, forming an arc reminiscent of a rainbow. Other photos portrayed the dolphins adroitly navigating wild ocean waves, smoothly gliding under the water in vast pods.
Gobsmacked at the spectacle, Stefanie describes the view as perfect, with clear skies and the sun maintaining the optimal angle to illuminate the dolphins. They were effortlessly riding the waves, their movements akin to a dance ballet, appearing to have the time of their lives.
